THE CHAMPION

Robert “Bob” GordonVogel (born October 7, 1981) is a professional marksman, competition shooter, and a National and World Champion. He holds the distinction of being the only Law Enforcement Officer to win both World and National Championships in the Practical Pistol Disciplines of IPSC, USPSA and IDPA. Known for his precision, discipline, and passion for shooting, Robert’s accomplishments have cemented his legacy as one of the world’s elite shooters.

ROOTS IN THE HEARTLAND

Born and raised on a farm in rural Saint Marys, Ohio, Robert’s connection to shooting began at a young age through hunting and outdoor pursuits. After graduating high school in 2000, he pursued a two-year Police Academy program, launching a dual career in law enforcement and competitive shooting. During his decade-long tenure as a Police Officer, Robert spent over eight years as a full-time street cop and a SWAT team member. He also served as a firearms instructor for his department and SWAT team, combining his passion for shooting with his dedication to public service.

A RECORD OF EXCELLENCE

Robert’s competitive achievements are unmatched. He is a 3-time World Champion and 24-time National Champion, excelling across three disciplines of practical and combat shooting. Among his many accolades Robert won USPSA Nationals in multiple divisions back-to-back years, is the only person to ever win the ProAm Open division at the professional level with a limited gun... and an unprecedented 10+ year unbeaten streak shooting every single IDPA National/World Championship.
